Bird Watching
Birdwatching
The forest has its own soundtrack.
Long before you notice a bird, you will probably hear one.
Nyungu Yamawe's forest and gardens provide a natural setting for a slow morning of birdwatching. Take a walk through the park with your eyes up and your ears open, looking and listening for the different birdlife moving through the trees.
There is no need to rush this one. Some of the best moments come when you stop walking altogether.
The park's recreation areas are already used for bird and monkey watching, while the wider forest provides several walking routes through the grounds.
Bring your binoculars if you have them, wear comfortable shoes and give yourself time.
This is particularly lovely in the quieter hours of the day, when the forest feels a little more awake.
